EVENT TERMS

Bespoke Medical Education Events Across Australia

GENERAL

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. All references to “we”, “our” and “us” are references to MedEd Series. References to “you” and “your” are references to either the individual or organisation participating in a MedEd Series event.

All costs reflected on our website and registration sites are in Australian dollars (AUD) and inclusive of goods and services tax (GST).

DISCLAIMER

MedEd Series and/or the Event Organisers reserve the right to change information on the Event website without notice to you. This may include changes to the draft Event program.

MODIFICATION / POSTPONEMENT / CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT OR ANY PART OF THE EVENT

MedEd Series reserves the right at any time and for any reason to:
(a) change the format, participants, content, location and timing or any other aspect of the Event;
(b) postpone the Event or any part of the Event; or
(c) cancel the Event or any part of the Event,
and if MedEd makes any such modification, postponement or cancellation, it shall not be liable for any expenditure, damage or loss incurred by a delegate or organisation as a result of such action, other than refund of any prepaid registration or sponsorship fees.

INSURANCE

Delegate registration fees and sponsorship fees do not include insurance of participants against accidents, sickness, cancellation, theft, property damage or loss. Participants are advised to take out adequate personal and/or business insurance.

FORCE MAJEURE

MedEd Series shall assume no liability whatsoever in the event this event is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this event impracticable, illegal or impossible.

For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: pandemic, war, fire, labour strike, extreme weather or other emergency.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Please note, the below statement overrides our cancellation policy during the COVID-19 outbreak. We are monitoring the Covid-19 medical advice and are doing everything we can to accommodate our valued partners, clients and delegates. If our event or conference needs to be cancelled or postponed, then we will offer flexibility on the following:
(a) Expected same day events – physical events will move to our online platform with 25% of the signed sponsorship moved to the following year, as a credit to any future MedEd event
(b) Postponed events – physical events will move to the following year, or another suitable date, with 100% of the signed sponsorship transferred to that date, minus any prepaid costs
(c) No refunds will be issued 

DELEGATE BEHAVIOUR

The Event Organisers reserve the right to deny entry to or remove persons from the Event at the Organiser’s discretion.
You indemnify and hold us harmless against all liabilities, losses, costs and expenses we may incur, including defending and resolving any claim brought against us by a third party, that has arisen from your or your delegate’s unlawful or negligent acts or omissions in relation to this Event or any breach of these terms and conditions.

REGISTRATION

Event registration is through CPD HCP – accessible at cpdhcp.com.au and via the CPD HCP app on iOS and Android devices. 

DELEGATE LIST

By registering for our event, you understand and acknowledge that your Personal Information may be shared with sponsors, presenters, and the organising panel to provide you with information on pharmaceutical products, as well as events, clinical resources or marketing materials.

PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING

Photographs and videos of you may be taken during your participation in the Event. By participating in the Event, you consent to MedEd Series using these photographs/videos for promotional, news, multimedia, research or educational purposes.
If you do not consent to your image being used, you must advise the MedEd Series via email at
jess@mededseries.com.au

SPECIAL REQUESTS

It may not be possible to cater for special or dietary requirements unless they are requested at least 7 days before the Event. Requirements are to be requested during the registration process. Event Organisers will do their best to cater for all requirements, however cannot guarantee this will be possible.

PRESENTER POLICY

Event organisers reserve the right to make changes to the draft program without notice. Once the final program has been published, you will be notified should any changes be made to your presentation time.

PAYMENT POLICY

Registration payments are required at the time of booking, online, with a credit card.
Sponsorship payments must comply with terms stated on the issued tax invoice. Payment is accepted via EFT or credit card.
If you require other payment terms, please contact jess@mededseries.com.au.
Note: Your registration and/or sponsorship is at risk of being cancelled until payment is confirmed.

EVENT REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY

Registration cancellations will not be accepted unless made in writing to jess@mededseries.com.au
Registration cancellations received up until 14 days prior to the event commencing will be refunded less a $25 administration fee.  No registration refunds will be made after this date.
As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person, if advised in writing no later than 48 hours prior to the commencement of the Event.

SPONSOR AND EXHIBITOR CONDITIONS

Full payment must be made before any sponsorship or exhibitor entitlements can be delivered.
You are responsible for the safety and security of any items brought onsite as part of an exhibitor trade space. It is your responsibility to arrange delivery of items to and from the venue. Please note, it may not be possible to store items at the venue prior to or after the conference.
Notice of cancellations must be made in writing to jess@mededseries.com.au. The following cancellation fees apply:
25% cancellation fee applies for cancellations received 60 days prior to Event commencing
50% cancellation fee applies to cancellations received 45 days prior to Event commencing
75% cancellation fee applies to cancellations received 30 days prior to Event commencing
100% cancellation fee applies to any cancellations received within 21 days of the Event commencing
